Big Updates: Breathwork Classes, Products, & Life

Writer: Mitzi KincadeMitzi Kincade

It’s been a while. Life has been busy and chaotic—between the holidays, my child’s needs, and my health, it’s felt like nonstop. On top of that, the state of the world today has left me speechless, especially the level of hate and pain that seems to be spreading.

I want to begin by saying that all identities, ethnicities, races, and abilities are welcome here. The purpose of my work is to create a space that feels safe for everyone. This space is for all feelings and all people. My heart goes out to everyone who’s facing distress and challenges, especially those caused by the current administration.

As a first-generation Mexican American, I take the disapproval of immigrants very personally. But again, this space is open to all—you are welcome to come as you are.

So, what's been going on?

  • My classes at Grow & Gather's greenhouse ended in January. Unfortunately, I had to make this tough decision because I really loved and connected with this space. I am eternally grateful for having been given this opportunity.

  • I started offering breathwork classes at two new locations! I am offering classes at Rishi's Community Yoga, in Denver and The Karma House, in Lakewood. Classes are every two weeks Friday night and Saturday morning. I am loving the community and vibe at the new locations.

    • I'll be taking a short pause in mid-March to recover from surgery.

  • I've introduces a new product - Magnesium Butter! It's a combination of the magnesium oil plus the moisturizing element of body butters like mango butter or shea butter. Learn more about it in My Shop.

    • I will be temporarily pausing orders while I am in recovery. If you are interested in placing an order, the deadline is March 8th.

  • Oh yeah! I'm having hip surgery in March. After over a year of doing physical therapy, it turns out that I have a minor case of hip dysplasia in both hips, but the right is more symptomatic. So, I'll be having what they call a hip arthroscopy to explore the area and do minor repairs. From there they will determine if further surgery is needed. I have hEDS which doesn't play in my favor, and I have to be very careful with how I stretch. Send all your healing vibes!

  • On the motherhood side of things, I've been super busy with getting my kids set up with OT and therapy. My oldest son deals with a lot of anxiety and ADHD and we are struggling to get him the support he needs at school. Co-parenting with my ex on these things hasn't been easy. I've been reliving a lot of triggers and memories which hasn't been helpful in removing my personal feelings from what just needs to get done to support my kids.

I can't make any promises, but I'll be doing my best to keep up with at least a monthly cadence on. There are a lot of moving parts with my business and my personal life that I often just want my brain to shut off. If you got this far into readying this, thank you for your support and attention. See you on the next post!
