Business Talk:
Exciting news! Over the weekend, I successfully sent out my first product shipment. As a small (and I mean very small) business, this is a major milestone. I found that learning the shipping process was not as challenging as I had anticipated. I received valuable advice from another small business owner, for which I am truly thankful. I am thrilled to expand this opportunity to customers nationwide. Stay tuned for the introduction of some new handcrafted products in the upcoming days, such as my Magnesium Oil and Incense.
Can we just talk about Breathwork at the Greenhouse?! These classes are evolving into something very beautiful. Being a plant enthusiast, I truly appreciate the wonderful setting that the greenhouse at Grow+Gather in Englewood offers for these classes. Plants bring me a sense of peace and rejuvenation, and I am thankful for the chance to create a supportive environment where I can witness the emotional journeys and releases of others. It requires great inner strength to be present for ourselves and show vulnerability among a group of individuals who share similar mindsets. Breathwork at the Greenhouse is a 90-minute class where individuals are led through an active breathing technique to tap into their subconscious and allowing their body and energy to lead them through their own healing journey. Classes are held in-person every other Saturday at 1pm.
In light of the 1-year anniversary of Soulfulness Breath, I am brainstorming exciting offers and bringing back some events this winter season. Stay up today by subscribing to the email list and automatically get 10% off your first 1-on-1 breathwork session. (Go to the bottom of the homepage)
Personal Talk:
Dealing with my chronic pain has been quite tough in recent weeks. As the children have returned to school, I've noticed an increase in discomfort due to the extended periods of sitting while driving and the additional responsibilities as a mom at home. It appears that finding time to relax and rejuvenate my body is becoming more challenging. I remember coming across a meme that humorously suggested "I have no energy, because my kids took it all at birth" - and that's pretty much how it feels, haha.
My mental health has been stable lately. September tends to trigger traumatic memories for me, so I've been prioritizing self-care and self-compassion. I was granted temporary permission to increase the frequency of my ketamine therapy during this challenging period of PTSD, which has proven to be very beneficial. It's hard to believe that I've been undergoing ketamine therapy for nearly a year now! I can confidently say that it has been lifesaving. I have successfully gone a whole year without needing to be admitted to a psychiatric facility (a major achievement). However, I want to emphasize that I would not hesitate to seek help again, if necessary, as I have found it incredibly beneficial and lifesaving. As we approach the winter season, I am getting ready to combat any seasonal depression that may arise. I have my light box on my desk, which I use regularly regardless of the season, and I'm considering engaging in light activities to keep myself occupied as I bid farewell to my garden. Baking is a significant coping mechanism for me, so expect to see me working on my winter body soon ;)
Highs & Lows:
I made up this rule that for every low, I'll share 3 highs. This is because I tend to place heavy emphasis on the lows and forget about the highs. So here we go:
Low
My body has been hurting a lot lately
Highs
I found a new doctor who didn't gaslight me and is willing to explore different idea to my body pain (yay!)
My tomatoes and peppers are growing like crazy! Who wants some?!
Super excited to be visiting my cousin and best friend in California next week for a few days!
Till next time :)
